President Rodrigo Duterte has proclaimed June 24 to be a special non-working holiday in the province of Masbate in time for the celebration of the Bagat Dagat Festival.
Bagat Dagat Festival is most-liked on Wattah-wattah Festival in San Juan, Metro Manila. But it's almost like because dousing of water to the people. It's a traditional celebration, throughout in the Philippines.

According to Proclamation 1388 by Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea, "it is suitable and customary that the people of the province of Masbate be given full opportunity to enjoy and participate in the occasion with appropriate rituals."
Furthermore, its declaration advised people to adhere to national government-imposed public health measures to stop the spread of Covid-19.
The province chief executive asked for the declaration, according to Nonielon Bagalihog Jr., the information officer for Masbate, to give the locals time to celebrate the event.
The celebration known as Bagat-Dagat, which means "to gather and to celebrate," has been celebrated for ten years, According to Masbate Governor Antonio Kho, he added.
Information on the events scheduled for June 23–24 in the Lagoon, Matayum, and Cataingan town was published by the Masbate Provincial Tourism, Culture, and Arts Office.
